Assistant Cook

Description The Assistant Cook provides support to the Cook in prepping food, operating kitchen equipment to cook and prepare high quality meals, and plating dishes according to the restaurant’s menu specifications. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills and will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

• Ensure preparation stations and the kitchen are set up and properly stocked
• Prepare components of menu dishes by chopping vegetables, cutting meats, and preparing sauces
• Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
• Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers
• Stock inventory and supplies
• Cook menu items according to menu specifications and plate accordingly.
