We are looking to recruit an experienced lawyer with a strong commercial dispute resolution and litigation background to join our expanding Cayman Islands practice in the role of Counsel. Our Cayman Islands dispute resolution and litigation practice advises institutional and non-institutional clients, both locally and internationally, on contentious and non-contentious commercial matters. Working alongside a dynamic team, you will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the practice. You will have at least eight years' post-qualification experience as a litigation attorney, with a minimum of four years practicing in the Cayman Islands on high value commercial and financial services litigation with a particular focus on contractual, tortious, and statutory commercial claims, cross border issues, and contentious insolvency matters. You will demonstrate strong legal and analytical skills, sound judgment, and a proven ability to manage large teams on complex litigation matters, including coordinating input from instructing attorneys, leading counsel and expert witnesses. You will also have demonstrable expertise in drafting complex pleadings, evidence and legal submissions, together with advocacy experience before the Cayman courts. In addition, you will have begun to develop your own practice, with strong client relationships and a recognised local profile in thought leadership and business development. Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications, the range for which will be between US$ 250,000 to US$ 275,000 plus discretionary bonus.
