Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand project requirements.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and quantity of materials needed.
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials.
• Construct window frames, doors, staircases, and more.
• Install flooring, roofing, or drywall, ensuring everything is leveled and compatible.
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items for installation.
• Inspect sites and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed.
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures.
• Build and repair roofs, selecting tiles, wood shingles, and other necessary roofing materials.
• Ensure roofing projects are completed on time.
• Perform repairs and maintenance work.
• Conduct thatching or specialized repairs on older materials.
• Seal leaks with cement or other suitable materials.
• Follow health and safety regulations, particularly those regarding working at heights.
• Prepare project timelines and budgets to propose to customers.
