This person will play a pivotal role in overseeing our captive insurance programs, ensuring compliance, maximizing efficiency, and driving strategic initiatives forward. Responsibilities will include all aspects of managing the day-to-day responsibilities of a portfolio of captive insurance companies

including, but not limited to the following

  • Review and preparation of complex financial statements and investment schedules
  • Present at Board and Shareholder meetings both in the Cayman Islands and overseas
  • Build and maintain relationships through regular communication with clients and service providers
  • Regulatory compliance and maintenance of corporate records including communications with the Monetary Authority and Registrar of Companies
  • Liaison with banking, financial and investment institutions
  • Review insurance and reinsurance policy documentation
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a team, fostering a culture of growth and development.

Personal attributes should include being a team player, ability to work autonomously, strong people management, decision-making and time management skills. Reviewing certain financial statements would be expected for more experienced candidates. The successful applicant must hold an internationally recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent), have a minimum of 7 years post qualification experience, and captive insurance management experience is preferred but not required. The successful applicant must also possess a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel based spreadsheet applications (familiarity with SunSystems, SILO and SharePoint will be an asset) and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English as substantial contact with clients will be required.
