We're looking for an experienced junior interior designer to join our growing team of designers. Christina Noel, Ltd. is a full-service residential design studio. Our definition of full-service is providing our clients with a highly capable, exceptionally talented, and detail-obsessed team of experts to manage every aspect of a project, allowing our clients to focus on the creative and enjoyable elements of the process without being overwhelmed by it. Expected salary range for this position is negotiable based on experience.
Understand project requirements and schedule. Produce mood boards. Produce complete ID drawing package including floor plans, furniture plans, lighting plans, reflected ceiling plans and interior elevations. Source and select and present appropriate “finishes” for all areas of the home. Source and select appropriate furnishings for all areas of the home. Complete kitchen and bathroom layout and design. Prepare presentation of all ideas and selections and present to clients for approval. Entering all purchase orders, place orders, following up with suppliers, shipping, dealing with customs. Work closely with architects, contractors and sub-contractors throughout the course of the project. Communicate with clients on a regular basis throughout the duration of the project. Oversee deliveries and installations.
5+ years of experience working in a design firm. Proven working experience in designing and decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions). Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations. Strong knowledge of interior design finishes for all surfaces of the home. Proficient in AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs. Must show portfolio of work using some or all of these programs. General knowledge of Quickbooks to assist with purchase orders, invoices, proposals. Excellent portfolio of previous works. Creative talent, imagination and eye for design. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Project management skills. BS degree in Interior Design or similar.
