Apprentice Plumber

Overview Pipe it Plumbing Services and Supplies is seeking an Apprentice Plumber with proven hands-on experience in plumbing installation and repair. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must be capable of performing core plumbing tasks with minimal supervision in active residential and commercial job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and assemble water supply, drainage, and vent piping systems.
• Perform rough-in and finishing plumbing work.
• Install plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, water heaters, etc.)
• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, blockages, and pressure problems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Conduct system testing and ensure compliance with local plumbing standards.
• Perform any other duties as required by the Lead Plumber.

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of verifiable plumbing experience
• Apprentice Plumber or equivalent certificate would be advantageous
• Demonstrated experience in:

o Pipe installation o Fixture installation o Basic plumbing system troubleshooting

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to read and apply blueprints and layouts on-site
• Strong attention to detail, time management and able to prioritise tasks effectively
• References confirming hands-on plumbing experience (not general labor)

• Shortlisted applicants may be required to complete a practical skills test to verify competency.
• A valid driver’s license with own transportation
• Police clearance required

Compensation

• Base salary CI$10.00 per hour
• Benefits in accordance with the Cayman Islands Labour Law
