Janitor

Description

Sandy's Janitorial Services requires a Janitor to

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust homes, offices, hallways, break rooms and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, floors, and partitions.
• Empty, clean, and re-line trash and recycling receptacles.
• Restock restroom and break room supplies (soap, paper products, etc.).
• Spot clean walls, doors, glass, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Clean kitchen and break areas, including sinks, counters, microwaves, and exterior surfaces of refrigerators.
• Perform basic floor care, including buffing and auto-scrubbing as needed.
• Report maintenance needs and safety hazards; perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Lock and unlock facilities as assigned and secure all designated work areas.

Technical & Cleaning Skills

• Proficiency in sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and general floor care.
• Knowledge of safe handling, use, and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Strong restroom sanitation and supply-replenishment practices.
• Experience with carpet cleaning and spot-treatment techniques.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums.

3-4 years

Education Requirement

• High School or Equivalent

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting moderate weights (typically 35-50 lbs).

Hours of Work
