Job Description

In the role of Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the hands-on execution of healthcare content and patient-facing marketing initiatives. This role requires prior experience in medically reviewed healthcare content creation and working with patient and customer data governed by health privacy regulations across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions.

Core duties include but are not limited to

  • Researching and writing SEO-compliant medical and pharmaceutical content for patient-facing digital platforms, ensuring all content is medically accurate, clinically informed, and approved through a formal review process involving licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Producing healthcare content across therapeutic categories including but not limited to weight management, chronic disease, and prescription drug topics, requiring deep independent research and adherence to medical content standards.
  • Experience using SEO platforms, such as clearscope, mixpanel, google analytics, plausible and crawlscout.
  • Supporting the development and execution of patient medication refill journeys and lifecycle communication sequences, including retention and re-engagement campaigns.
  • Conducting healthcare marketing research and analysis to inform marketing campaigns & customer communications.
  • Experience developing and working with AI agents and workflows to enable marketing iniatives.
  • Supporting and activating patient and customer data in full compliance with Health Canada guidelines and applicable U.S. health privacy regulations, with prior experience handling sensitive health data within regulated healthcare environments required.
  • Executing SEO strategies and applying healthcare content writing tools to optimize drug and condition pages for organic search performance, in alignment with strategies set by the team.
  • Collaborating with pharmacists, and other licensed healthcare professionals employed by or affiliated with pharmacy partners to ensure content accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Supporting social media content creation and promotional campaigns within pharmaceutical advertising guidelines.
  • Proofreading and quality-controlling all healthcare communications for medical accuracy, brand consistency, and compliance across patient-facing materials.
  • Contributing to brand voice and style guide execution across pharmacy partner accounts.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience producing medically reviewed healthcare or pharmaceutical content, requiring deep research and formal medical approval processes.
  • Demonstrated experience working with patient and customer data subject to Health Canada regulations and U.S. health privacy frameworks (including HIPAA and applicable cross-border compliance requirements).
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles as applied to healthcare and pharmaceutical content.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical advertising standards and regulated healthcare communications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with licensed healthcare professionals including pharmacists and physicians.
  • Experience in a healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated health communications environment.
