Description

As a Director and leader of the Deal Advisory practice, the individual will be responsible for originating, leading and delivering complex advisory engagements. The Director will work closely with Partners to shape strategy, drive growth across the service line and act as a trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders. The role carries responsibility for quality, risk management, people development and the commercial success of engagements. The following areas are considered to be core components the role: Deal Advisory Services

  • Prepare business cases and provide transaction (procurement) support to the Cayman Islands Government for local infrastructure projects.
  • Sell side advisory services including pre deal valuation, preparation of information memorandums and teaser documents, deal negotiation and deal closure support.
  • Buy side advisory services including financial, commercial and operational due diligence of target companies. Deliverables include financial analytics, operational issues summaries, commentary on market positioning and recommendations for post deal integration.

Valuation Services

  • Provide valuation reports for private equity and direct lending assets using financial models that employ discounted cash flow, market multiples and industry transaction analyses.
  • Valuation support provided for financial reporting, commercial negotiations and shareholder disputes.
  • Sector coverage primarily includes financial services, healthcare and technology. Geographical coverage is focused on emerging markets.

Business Development

  • Identify target clients and create a business plan to approach clients and convert leads into clients.
  • Service ongoing client relationships through regular face to face and telephonic interactions.
  • Attend relevant industry and client conferences to promote the service line and identify new service offerings.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree from a recognized university and an Accounting or Valuation/Corporate Finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, CAIA, MBA with 8-12 years’ professional experience in a multi-jurisdictional accounting and advisory firm. Demonstrated experience leading the following areas of engagements is essential:

  • Mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”) processes;
  • Financial due diligence;
  • Valuations;
  • Business cases; and
  • Infrastructure advisory.

You will have the ability to lead a team of experienced professionals (including professionals in other jurisdictions) and have superior interpersonal and communication skills. You will have excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail, as well as a demonstrated ability to excel in business development and winning work.
