Senior Purchasing and Inventory Clerk

Position requires 5+ years’ purchasing and inventory experience within a retail environment. Duties include establishing and maintaining relationships with domestic and foreign suppliers; evaluating costs, quality, service, availability, and variety selection of products; completing purchase orders; and managing inventory using our computerized POS system. Requires strong merchandising capabilities, accurate data-entry skills, and ability to attend overseas trade shows in the U.S. Must possess vast knowledge of building materials, tools, plumbing, electrical, lighting, paints, bath & kitchen and housewares products. Knowledge of customs clearance regulations, insurance claims procedures for damaged goods, and inventory batching processes is essential. Additional skills include advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and safe operation of ladder lifts.
