About the Role

Shaw & Associate Construction is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Mason to join our team. The successful candidate will bring extensive industry expertise to our construction projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, structural integrity, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Execute complex and advanced masonry work, including the precise laying of bricks, concrete blocks, and natural stones. Read, interpret, and follow architectural blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Prepare surfaces, mix mortar and grout, and ensure proper consistency for high-quality bonding. Construct, repair, and restore structures such as walls, foundations, archways, and decorative stonework. Conduct structural alignment using levels, plumb bobs, and laser equipment. Ensure all masonry work complies with local building codes and safety regulations. Mentor and provide guidance to junior construction staff or apprentices on-site.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: A minimum of 24 years of proven professional experience in masonry and construction. Extensive knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and specialized tools. Physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding manual labor in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: CI$ 14.50 per hour. Overtime: Overtime pay provided as required by operational needs. Benefits: Statutory benefits will be provided in strict accordance with the Cayman Islands Labour Law, including health insurance, pension contributions, and paid vacation.
