We are seeking a Steel Fixer to prepare and install steel reinforcement used in concrete structures such as buildings and foundations. Responsibilities
Read and interpret construction drawings and reinforcement plans.
Cut, bend, and shape steel bars and mesh to the required sizes.
Install and tie reinforcing steel (rebar) using wire, clips, or welding methods.
Position reinforcement accurately inside formwork before concrete is poured.
Ensure that steel placement follows engineering specifications and safety standards.
Operate tools and machinery such as rebar cutters, benders, grinders, and tying tools.
Check the spacing, alignment, and cover measurements of reinforcement.
Collaborate with site engineers, supervisors, and concrete crews.
Repair or replace damaged reinforcement when necessary.
Maintain a safe and clean working area on construction sites.
