Construct, repair, and install concrete formwork for foundations, columns, beams, walls, and slabs. Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, steel, and other construction materials. Install doors, windows, frames, partitions, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry items. Lay concrete blocks, bricks, and other masonry materials according to project specifications. Mix, pour, spread, and finish concrete for structural and architectural applications. Install reinforcing steel bars (rebar), wire mesh, and steel cages in accordance with engineering drawings. Tie and secure reinforcing steel using approved methods and materials. Build and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, and temporary support structures when required. Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Perform concrete repairs, patching, and finishing work. Ensure materials are used efficiently to minimize waste. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and project specifications are achieved. Follow all occupational health and safety policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials. Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and other trades. Report safety hazards, equipment defects, and site issues promptly. Perform other construction-related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Mason, Carpenter, Steel Fixer, or in a similar construction role. Proven experience in formwork, masonry, reinforcing steel installation, and general carpentry.
