Head of Client Services

Saxon Fund Services Ltd. “SFS” The Saxon Group has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Head of Client Services. Through a combination of entrepreneurship and organic growth, the Saxon Group has become one of the most successful Motor Insurance and Pension Administration Companies in the Cayman Islands. SFS, a newly incorporated entity will, once CIMA registered, provide administration services to a variety of investment vehicles in the Caribbean. This role suits an ambitious individual seeking a fast-paced role in a start-up fund administration business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

• Act as the first finance hire, responsible for establishing and leading the Client Accounting function within SFS.
• Implement accounting systems, reporting processes, internal controls, and operating procedures to support the administration of investment funds.
• Liaise with third-party service providers (administrators, auditors, legal counsel, banks, and tax advisors) to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Oversee client onboarding, including fund set-up, policy creation, and procedural documentation.
• Manage financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and performance monitoring for client funds, ensuring compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and local regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review investor reporting, capital calls/distributions, waterfall calculations, and fee structures.
• Lead operational initiatives including SOC 1 exercises, tax and compliance reporting (FATCA/CRS, AIFMD, US and global tax filings).
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and investors, presenting financial materials and updates in a clear and professional manner.
• Mentor and build out a growing team of fund accountants as the business scales.

Requirements

• Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACA, ACMA)
• 10+ years of international experience in fund accounting, fund administration, and Investment management.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience at a director or equivalent level
• Experience managing a team of professionals
• Experience launching new funds
• Proven ability to establish new processes, controls, and systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence in presenting financial material to BoD’s, Investors, clients etc.
• Experience working with and detailed knowledge of

o Various Investment vehicles such as Private Equity, Venture Capital, Infrastructure, Credit, Real Assets, and Hedge Funds o Cayman Islands Mutual Fund Regulations o Global tax and compliance reporting o SOC 1 exercises o IFRS and US GAAP The salary range is US$140,000-US$170,000 dependent on experience.
