Golf Course Equipment Operator

We are accepting applications for the following position

GOLF COURSE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

A Golf Course Equipment Operator performs assigned tasks involved with the repairs, operation and maintenance of heavy equipment belonging to the golf course and surrounding facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment such as tractors, riding mowers, push mowers.
• Inspects all equipment and tools; reports any deficiencies and keeps a daily machine log.
• Remains pleasant with customers/guests, company members and displays a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
• Completes other tasks, requests and instructions set out by Management.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of previous related experience with hydraulics, electronics and schematics and/or proof of qualifications required.
• Proven experience in work safety and precautions needed when performing tasks to ensure safety of self and others.
• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification an asset; Heavy Equipment Operator certification preferred.
• Knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in golf course and ground maintenance.
• Knowledge of golf etiquette an asset.
• Possess a valid Cayman Islands Group 4 driver’s license.
• Willing to work late shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to stand for long periods of time to complete tasks; able to bend, stoop and lift up to 50lbs.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions as necessary to carry out job functions.
• Possess a satisfactory police record and fluency in English.
