Plant / Quality Control Assistant Manager

National Cement Ltd. T/A Kirk Concrete Invites applications for the position of Plant / Quality Control Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of the day-to-day operations of the company’s concrete batching plants and its quality control function, including:

Duties

• ensuring the efficient production of concrete according to customer specifications
• maintaining adequate inventory levels
• maintaining a clean and organized site.
• supervising quality control laboratory, including the monitoring and testing of raw materials, the creation and testing of mix designs, the monitoring and testing of concrete production and slump testing and the provision of all quality control reports required by management and customers
• supervising research and development activities to identify and recommend new products and product refinements
• consulting with external testing laboratories to ensure proper techniques and processes are used
• supervising the provision of technical assistance to sales representatives and to customers
• ensuring exceptional service, including assisting customers in the selection, purchase and delivery of all product lines and responding to technical problems faced by customers
• supervising concrete batching plant personnel and quality control personnel in order to create a productive, safe and positive work environment
• supervising work schedules and delivery schedules
• organizing and conducting employee training across all aspects of concrete production and quality control
• promoting and enforcing safety and emergency policies and procedures

This is not an entry-level position. The Plant / Quality Control Assistant Manager plays a key role in the planning and execution of the business, the design, implementation, monitoring, maintenance and support of its processes and systems and the analysis of its data. This position reports to the Plant / Quality Control Manager and coordinates and supervises the work of other supervisors and affiliates. Regular operating hours are from 7:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Saturday (45 regular hours per week, 195 average regular hours per month) 24/7 availability is required.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated self-starter who enjoys the challenges of continuous improvement and brings meaningful and verifiable expertise to the Company. At a minimum, candidates must demonstrate:

• at least ten years of managing multi-plant, ready mixed concrete batching operations and related quality control functions,
• either:

a) a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and professional certifications in concrete plant management and quality control or b) graduation from a four-year college degree program and current certification as a Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I (ACI or equivalent) and current certification as a Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade II (NRMCA or equivalent),

• competency in the production of concrete and in providing excellent customer service and support,
• proficiency in ready mixed concrete industry-specific software for the management of production and deliveries and
• proficiency in the English language.

The salary range for this position is KYD 46,200 to KYD 54,600 per annum, plus pension and health benefits and three weeks of paid vacation. Applications must be received before 14 July 2026 at info@cement.ky
