These hours are required so I can prepare breakfast and ensure food is ready for the children when they get off the morning bus and arrive at school. Job Summary Tropical Delite Cayman Brac Canteen is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and friendly Kitchen Helper to assist with the daily preparation and serving of food in our canteen. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment while supporting the kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning, and customer service duties. Honesty, punctuality, and dependability are essential for this position. Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing food items, including washing, cutting, and preparing ingredients
• Serve food and beverages to customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, counters, and work areas
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools
• Restock food supplies, ingredients, and serving items as needed
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Attend required Environmental Health and food safety training classes related to food handling and prevention of foodborne illnesses
• Properly store food items and monitor cleanliness of refrigerators and storage areas
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily canteen operations

Hours of Work 40 hours per week. Flexible schedule required, including sports days when necessary. Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or food service environment is an asset
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices preferred
• Willingness to attend Environmental Health training courses
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate kitchen supplies
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
