Setting and continually managing project expectations with team members and other stakeholders; plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and track deliverables. - Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders; this will include the development of business cases. To include estimate of resources and participants required to achieve project goals. - Conducting projects postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. a. Assist the QS the preparation of quantities and rates to build-up costs. b. Develop and agree construction budgets for approval of the Construction Manager; c. Report monthly to the President / Construction Manager on the status of budgets / cost codes
i. Committed costs to date; ii. Forecast cost to complete; and iii. Final forecasted cost. d. Manage the procurement of all packages with the assistance of the Contract Administrator. Overall procurement will be managed through the implementation and monthly reporting of the procurement schedule. Procurement schedule to include complete list of packages and deadline dates for procurement, shipping etc; e. A tender or pre-contract program will be produced for both projects. The PM is to develop, communicate and agree a baseline schedule to be included in the Contract. The PM shall update the program monthly for circulation to the client and relevant consultants; f. Manage all aspects of quality and construction detailing. Whilst EWD will employ only reputable sub-contractors, it will be the PM’s responsibility to assure that the sub-contractor executes the works in accordance with industry standards. Weekly / monthly subcontract meetings are required. The minutes of these meetings must be forwarded to the Construction Manager and cc’d to the President; g. Identify potential construction detailing issues and maintain an accurate and up to date RFI schedule. All RFI’s will be submitted to the consulting architect or Project Manager; h. Identify, maintain an accurate variation schedule and assure that all variations are not executed until the consulting PM has authorized the contract amendment. The Contract Administrator will assist in the compiling of variations; I. Maintain a clean and safe site on all occasions. If there is areas of any safety concern it must be raised with the Construction Manager and the President.
