Fabricate, alter, repair, and maintain walls, sidewalks, streets curbs, floors, bathrooms showers, sink counters, partitions, manholes, and other related structures or surfaces
Lay blocks or bricks following plans or drawings
Determine work requirements and sequence of masonry/ tile assignments trough review of work orders, plans or drawings
Layout work using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares, and levels
Mix cement using hoes, cement mixing equipment and/or hand tools
Cut or break bricks and concrete using hammers, powered abrasive saws, paving breakers, drills and/or hand tools
Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedges
The position requires
Over 10 years of experience as a mason
Have a Secondary School diploma/Technical Certificate
Any equivalent combination of experience and/ or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
