Master Barber

The Master Barber will uphold more than two centuries of craftsmanship and tradition, delivering luxury grooming services synonymous with refinement, prestige, and timeless confidence within a world-class wellness environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver luxury grooming services including precision haircuts, beard sculpting, traditional hot towel shaves, and bespoke grooming rituals.
• Conduct personalised consultations and tailor services to each guest’s style, grooming needs, and preferences.
• Provide exceptional guest care and maintain high levels of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
• Recommend luxury grooming products, treatments, and aftercare solutions to guests.
• Maintain treatment areas, barber stations, and equipment in a clean, organised, and hygienic condition at all times.
• Uphold Forbes Five-Star or equivalent luxury service standards and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Assist with the implementation and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and service excellence.
• Stay current with evolving barbering techniques, trends, tools, and luxury grooming standards.
• Support promotional events, spa activations, and collaborative wellness initiatives where required.
• Work collaboratively with spa, salon, and wellness teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in luxury barbering within a high-end barbershop, luxury spa, salon, or equivalent environment.
• Recognised barbering or hairstyling qualification from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated expertise in traditional and modern barbering techniques, including cut-throat razor shaving, scissor-over-comb cutting, beard design, and precision styling.
• Strong knowledge of luxury grooming products, treatments, and aftercare recommendations.
• Proven ability to deliver highly personalised guest service within a luxury hospitality or wellness setting.
• Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety standards applicable to luxury salon and spa operations.
• Excellent grooming, presentation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Fluency in English and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Experience with heritage grooming brands, retail product sales, or booking systems such as Zenoti would be considered an asset.
