Position: Experienced Steelman

Pythagorean Construction is seeking an experienced and dependable Steelman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in steel fixing and reinforced concrete construction, with strong knowledge of construction safety standards and structural reinforcement techniques. Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural drawings and reinforcement schedules.
• Cut, bend, position, and secure steel bars and mesh for concrete structures.
• Install reinforcement for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and other structural components.
• Tie rebar using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Ensure steel placement complies with engineering specifications and building codes.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other construction workers on-site.
• Inspect materials and completed reinforcement work for quality and accuracy.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Follow all workplace health and safety regulations.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving construction materials when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Steelman / Steel Fixer.
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction methods.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Skilled in rebar cutting, bending, and tying.
• Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Hours

• Standard 45 hours per week; evenings/weekends/overtime as project needs require.
