Job Description

MHA Cayman is seeking an experienced and dedicated Audit Partner to help lead our dynamic investment fund audit services in the Cayman Islands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage audit engagements for investment funds, both mutual funds and private funds.
  • Engagement Partner with responsibility to provide strategic direction and leadership to the audit team.
  • Contribute to practice management, including regular financial reporting of the firm’s management accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with International Standards on Auditing combined with IFRS, US GAAP, or UK GAAP.
  • Win, develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of audit quality and responsiveness.
  • As AML Officer for the Cayman office, maintain in-depth knowledge of AML, regulatory and compliance procedures relevant to Cayman Islands.
  • Staff Partner, overseeing performance, training and development of 40+ audit staff.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven success as an audit partner in the asset management industry (minimum 4 years).
  • Currently licensed as an audit practitioner in the Cayman Islands with 4+ years experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of practical experience in the investment funds industry.
  • Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CA, or CPA) with proven recent audit expertise.
  • Qualification with ACAMs (or equivalent AML qualification), as well as knowledge of AML compliance and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of complex financial instruments and appropriate valuation techniques.
  • Successful experience in team training, leadership, and leading international audit assignments.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, practice management, organisational, and IT skills and proficiency.
  • Willingness to work additional hours at evenings and weekends when required to meet client and regulatory deadlines.

Salary and Benefits Base salary range: US$200,000 to US$260,000 per annum, depending on career history and performance.
