ASSISTANT BAKER

A&P SWEETS DREAM LTD T/A A&P SWEETS DREAM is a small, locally loved coffee shop that takes pride in serving handcrafted beverages, fresh pastries, and custom cakes made with care. Our space is cozy, our team is tight-knit, and our mission is simple: make every guest feel at home with great food and warm service. Role Overview We’re looking for a versatile and enthusiastic Assistant Baker to support both our kitchen and front-of-house operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a creative, fast-paced environment and values teamwork, cleanliness, and customer connection. Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of Asian-inspired breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies (Filipino specialties such as pandesal, ensaymada, ube treats, etc. a plus).
• Assist with mixing, shaping, baking, and decorating baked goods to high standards.
• Follow recipes accurately while ensuring consistency, freshness, and food safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Greet customers warmly and take orders with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash/card transactions.
• Keep café areas (counter, dining, and restrooms) clean throughout the day.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Owners/Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in baking or food service, with proven ability to work independently.
• Strong knowledge of Asian/Filipino pastries and baked goods (experience making traditional favorites highly preferred).
• Passion for baking and genuine hospitality.
• Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and cleanliness.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting to 25 lbs.
• With a clean police record.
