Baker

Caribbean Bakery is seeking an experienced and motivated Baker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and production of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and food safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, and other bakery products
• Follow recipes, production schedules, and quality standards
• Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
• Assist with training and supervising junior bakery staff when required
• Maintain consistent product quality and presentation standards
• Perform other bakery-related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' proven experience as a Baker in a commercial bakery environment
• Strong knowledge of bread, pastry, and bakery production
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Supervisory experience is an asset

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Formal baking certification or vocational training is an asset
