A gardener maintains, cultivates, and improves outdoor green spaces by planting, weeding, pruning, and nurturing trees, shrubs, and flowers. Key responsibilities include operating, cleaning, and repairing machinery like mowers and trimmers, implementing pest control measures, applying fertilizers, and ensuring the overall aesthetic appeal of the grounds. Key Responsibilities and Duties Plant Care: Watering, weeding, pruning, planting, and deadheading flowers, shrubs, and trees. Landscape Maintenance: Mowing lawns, edging borders, mulching, and maintaining hedge lines. Pest & Disease Control: Monitoring plant health and applying herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides as needed. Equipment Maintenance: Operating and maintaining tools such as lawnmowers, strimmers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers. Cleaning & Safety: Keeping paths and grounds free from debris, litter, and leaves. Seasonal Tasks: Preparing beds for new seasons, planting bulbs, and, in some roles, designing new, vibrant garden areas. Required Skills and Qualifications Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy items, and work in all weather conditions. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating, maintaining, and repairing landscaping machinery. Reliability & Professionalism: Good time management and the ability to work independently or within a team.
