Metal Fabricator The Postholder will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and joining metal components to create finished products. With the ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machines to cut, bend, and weld metals such as steel, aluminum, and brass. In addition to fabricating parts from scratch, the postholder will be responsible for repairing damaged metal components. The successful Metal Fabricator must also have good problem-solving skills and be able to work independently. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprint, drawings, and work orders Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using hand tools, welding equipment, and machinery Inspect and measure materials and finished products for quality and accuracy Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety guidelines Repair or replace defective components as needed Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines Operate machinery such as shears, generators and welders Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Qualifications 5 years’ experience in related field Self-driven, with the ability to work well in a team environment Adherence to policies and practices Valid driver’s license Punctuality and regular attendance Successful job performance, including meeting productivity standards Professional levels of customer service is a must for this role.
