We are looking for a Propane Technical Sales Representative to join our team! The role will require a candidate with hybrid propane service and installation experience and sales and marketing know how. As a Technical Sales Rep you will be responsible for sourcing and identifying new revenue streams for the business and subsequently project managing the installation process. You will be self-driven, team oriented and safety conscious as you will be responsible for propane at multiple customer locations on a day-to-day basis. The role have a focus on propane construction projects, outdoor fire features and ensuring all products and projects are carried out with quality of installation and to the highest level of safety. You will be expected to meet with Commercial and Residential customers as well as contractors and consultants in the Construction industry, offering a full cycle project from idea and architecture through to installation and ongoing service and maintenance.
Establishing the propane wants and technical needs of the customer and suggesting appropriate products. Explaining complex product and installation information to customers in a way that is easily understandable. Following up with customers and resolving any issues that may arise. Keeping customers informed about new products. Compiling proposals and reports related to propane products. Ensuring that sales targets are consistently met. Report and document inferior and out of code customer installations Test for leaks (soap method as well as high pressure test) Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Operates truck in accordance with established safety procedures. Including pre and post trip inspection reports. During daily interaction with customers provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries. Requires call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response. Must possess drive, determination, professionalism, and the desire to be a significant factor in growing our business. Position will require working evening and weekends. You will need to provide examples of the following Key Competencies at interview: Prior experience working as a service technician in the propane industry. Prior experience working in a sales and marketing capacity. Able to lift and maneuver heavy parts and materials weighing up to 50lbs. Clean driving record Experience working with hazardous materials preferred. Experience working in a customer facing environment preferred. As a Propane Technical Sales Representative, you must understand, communicate, and show a high level of safety awareness as they relate to our customers and employees. In return for performing the above duties you will be rewarded with a salary of KY15-25 per hour, plus health insurance, pension and excellent working conditions. This is a full-time position with a standard working week of 45 hours.
