HVAC/ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN

About the Company We are growing electronics and appliance sales and service company dedicated to providing high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services to residential and commercial customers throughout the Sister Islands. We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC/Electronics & Appliance Technician to join our team. Position Summary The HVAC/Appliance Technician position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of air-conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment, household appliances, and consumer electronics. The successful candidate must possess strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair residential and light commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose and repair major household appliances including refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, microwaves and small appliances
• Troubleshoot and repair consumer electronics and related equipment as required
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration and appliance system
• Install replacement parts and components according to manufacturer specifications
• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and service bulletins
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain accurate service records, repair reports and inventory documentation
• Ensure compliance in all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
• Provide professional customer service and technical advice to customers
• Assist with warehouse duties, equipment preparation, and inventory management when required
• Participate in emergency and after hour service call as needed

Qualifications

• Clean Police Clearance Certificate (Mandatory)
• High school diploma
• Certificate, diploma, or Technical vocational training in HVAC, refrigeration, Electrical technology, appliance repair, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HVAC, refrigeration, appliance repair or electronics servicing
• Ability to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electronic faults
• Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment
• Experience servicing commercial refrigeration equipment
• Ability to read wiring diagram and technical schematics
• Ability to travel to customer locations and perform installations when required
• Ability to work on ladders and various indoor and outdoor environment
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and perform physically demanding task throughout the work day
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong verbal and written communication skills/English
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50lbs
