Steel fixer

CI Precast Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Fixer to join our team. Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Measure, cut, bend and shape steel reinforcement bars and mesh to required specifications.
• Position and secure reinforcement bars and mesh using wire ties, clips and other approved methods.
• Assemble and install reinforcement cages and steel frameworks for precast concrete structures.
• Ensure measurements, spacing and placement of reinforcement meet structural requirements.
• Work effectively with supervisors and other construction personnel.
• Follow all company and site health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Steel Fixer or in a similar construction role.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and measurements.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and steel cutting/bending equipment.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling heavy materials, bending and standing for extended periods.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety requirements.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
