Branch Director

What is the opportunity? As a Branch Director for RBC Dominion Securities, you are responsible for running all the-day-to-day aspects of a client facing, live to market, global investment advisory and management business with the goals of meeting the needs of our clients, growing revenue and maintaining profitability. The Branch Director is a regulatory Supervisor with responsibility to ensure we achieve our goals in a compliant manner. What will you do?

• Formulate and execute a business plan in concert with the wider corporate. Each business plan will consist of stretch revenue, profitability and asset growth goals.
• Recruit and lead a team of entrepreneurial sales professionals.
• Utilize strong coaching skills and to keep up-to-date with all resources and tools available within RBC and DS to support the teams and our clients.
• Perform all required people manager HR functions as reporting line manager to a high performing team of financial professionals.
• Promote the strategic direction, corporate goals and values of both RBC and RBC Dominion Securities in the branch and community.
• Perform all required supervision reviews, transaction and account approvals in accordance in securities regulation and RBC policies.
• Review and approve client investment proposals, marketing collateral and business development activities.
• Maintain up to date knowledge and skills in all aspects of compliance, industry regulation, RBC policies and investment dealer supervision routines.
• Ensure all employees have a similar knowledge of these regulatory and firm policies, and are operating in compliance with these.

Qualifications

• University Degree in a related field
• The CSI Canadian Securities Course and Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course or other internationally recognized professional investment qualifications
• The CSI Dealer Supervisor’s Course and Options Supervisor’s Course or other internationally recognized professional investment supervision qualifications
• Minimum 3 years investment dealer management and supervision experience
• Minimum 5 years investment industry experience
