Maintenance and Grounds Person (Not Skilled/Not Shared)

Job Summary The Landscaping Attendant maintains the grounds of the resort, and company properties on a day-today and project-level basis. The Landscaping Attendant attends to the immediate needs of all floral and fauna, and carries out minor maintenance-related duties and tasks. The position is responsible for the upkeep of the Resort grounds environment. The attendant works daily from a checklist in keeping with company “JEM Way” standards, that will ensure a clean, maintained and groomed Resort for our guests. Making certain the environment is kept to a high standard daily, is paramount. Key responsibilities

• Removal of all trash from Resort trash cans, with attention to the company’s internal recycling efforts
• Pruning, trimming, planting, and maintenance of all floral and fauna
• Regular palm tree trimming including coconut removal
• Raking, and ground refuse removal
• Grooming and Raking Beach
• Cleaning and tending to pools and hot tubs (per management request/if applies)
• Organizing and Maintaining Beach furnishings
• Organizing and Maintaining clean and debris-free guest patios
• Light cleaning duties
• Washing and bleaching stairwells, walls, windows, and signage
• Parking lot, refuse area, and storage room maintenance and cleanliness
• Operating small landscaping equipment, included blowers, trimmers, and other power tools

The Maintenance person contributes to the overall guest experience at our Resort and as a result will make a difference as a key part to the supporting department in collaboration with the rest of the Resort team-members. The Maintenance person takes instruction to maintain the facilities of the resort and associated, managed condominium properties on a day-to-day and larger project-level basis. The Maintenance person attends to the immediate maintenance needs of the department, and carries out typical maintenance-related duties and tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner, via resort channels
• Painting
• Cistern management
• Sump maintenance and voiding
• Fire and emergency safety equipment maintenance
• Light construction
• Responding to guestroom maintenance calls as quickly as possible
• Responding to public area and resort department call as quickly as possible
• Furniture and equipment assembly
