The Private Client team has extensive experience advising a wide range of trustees, fiduciaries, family offices and UHNW and HNWIs globally on all aspects of private client, estate administration, trust structuring and regulation, including trust and estate disputes. What Will You Do

  • Developing relationships with clients including gaining a good knowledge of the client’s businesses, economic drivers, market and sector requirements in order to ensure advice is relevant and commercial.
  • Responsible for regular and direct contact with clients, with a culture based on associates being given the level of responsibility they are ready for, rather than a PQE based method of work allocation.

  • Advise trust companies, fiduciaries and UHNW / HNWI’s and their family offices on a wide range of private wealth work, including the establishment, restructuring and administration of trust structures, estate and succession planning and regulatory matters, including digital assets.
  • Provide strategic counsel on a wide range of trust administration and governance matters.
  • Contribute to multi-jurisdictional matters alongside colleagues in Conyers’ global offices and affiliated corporate service and trustee companies.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, industry events, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Contribute to know‑how, client alerts, training and business development initiatives that reinforce the firm’s market‑leading Private Client practice.

What You’ll Need

  • 7+ years’ relevant PQE, with prior experience in private client and trust work (contentious and / or non-contentious) in a recognised legal practice.
  • Admitted, or eligible to be admitted to the Cayman Islands Bar
  • First rate technical skills needed to support the client work of the department
  • Commerciality and demonstrable business development experience
  • Excellent written communication and drafting skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and to take responsibility for this relationship
  • Experience with mentoring junior associates
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to adapt style as required
