We are hiring a Steel Fixer/Mason to perform both reinforcement and masonry work on construction sites. This role involves installing steel bars (rebar) for concrete structures and constructing walls or other structures using bricks, blocks, or stones.
Read and interpret structural drawings and reinforcement schedules Cut, bend, and fix steel reinforcement bars and mesh Securely tie the rebar using wire or clips. Position the reinforcement in foundations, columns, beams, and slabs. Ensure proper spacing, alignment, and concrete cover. Assist with inspections before pouring the concrete. Lay bricks, blocks, or stones according to plans Mix and apply mortar or cement Construct walls, partitions, and other structures Ensure work is level, aligned, and structurally sound Cut and shape materials to fit specific designs Repair and maintain existing masonry work
