Key Responsibilities Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to construction plans and specifications. Mix and prepare cement, mortar, and other construction materials. Measure and cut materials to the required size using hand tools or power tools. Construct walls, partitions, arches, fireplaces, and other masonry structures. Repair and restore damaged brickwork, stonework, and concrete surfaces. Ensure structures are level, straight, and properly aligned. Install concrete forms and pour concrete when required. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment on construction sites. Work with other construction workers such as carpenters, plumbers, and electricians.
