Hiring a Duct Installer to be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining ductwork systems used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). To ensure proper airflow, temperature control, and indoor air quality in buildings.
Install HVAC duct systems in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Measure, cut, and assemble duct materials (sheet metal, fiberglass, flexible ducts) Connect ducts to vents, air handlers, and HVAC units Seal and insulate ducts to prevent air leaks and improve efficiency Inspect and test duct systems for proper airflow and performance Repair or replace damaged or faulty ductwork Follow safety standards and building codes Work with other trades (electricians, plumbers, contractors) on-site
