Steel Fixer/Carpenter

This role will include performing both steel fixing and carpentry duties in the construction of reinforced concrete and structural elements. Tasks include positioning steel reinforcement and constructing timber formwork to support concrete works in line with technical drawings and site standards.

Key Responsibilities (not Limited to)

• Assist Site Engineer at times to check elevations and points to complete works in an efficient and correct manner.
• Interpret and work from construction drawings, specifications, and bar bending schedules.
• Cut, bend, and install reinforcement steel bars and mesh.
• Assemble and secure reinforcement frameworks using tie wire and spacers.
• Construct and install formwork for walls, slabs, beams, columns, and other concrete structures.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials (timber or composite) for structural support and finishing works.
• Work closely with other trades (e.g. concrete operatives) to ensure efficient workflow.
• Conduct self-checks to ensure work accuracy and compliance.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized working areas
