We are seeking a well-organized, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Receptionist / Cashier / Assistant. This multifaceted role requires managing front-desk duties, handling financial transactions, and assisting with customs clearance for incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics and shipping environment.
The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the Cayman Islands Customs Tariff and be fully capable of processing clearance paperwork and customs entries through the Cayman Islands Customs Online System (COLS). This includes gathering invoices, classifying products, calculating duties, and successfully clearing packages for importation. Previous experience as a Customs Broker or Shipping Agent is mandatory, as these skills are essential for this role.
Reception & Customer Service Greet and assist walk-in customers professionally Manage incoming calls, emails, and WhatsApp messages Provide information on shipping procedures, rates, and requirements Assist with package pickups, drop-offs, and tracking Cashiering & Accounting Support Process payments via cash, card, or bank transfer Issue receipts and maintain accurate records Reconcile cash drawers and assist with invoicing and customer account updates Customs Clearance Support Gather and verify documentation for customs entry (invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, etc.) Prepare customs declarations through COLS in compliance with CBC regulations Coordinate with CBC, couriers, and brokers on shipment status Inform customers about duties and required actions for clearance Maintain records of customs submissions and related correspondence Administrative & Operational Duties File and organize shipping, financial, and customer service records Track packages and provide status updates to clients Assist with scheduling deliveries and pickups post-clearance Support team members with daily logistics and customer inquiries
