Job Description

We’re hiring for the position of Vice President – Employee Benefits! Aon is currently recruiting for the position of Vice President – Employee Benefits. Reporting to the divisional Director, the Vice President will join the team responsible for servicing the largest employee benefits portfolios in the Cayman Islands. As a senior member of the team, the Vice President will lead their own portfolio of clients, delivering knowledgeable, efficient, and best-in-class client service. The role will be instrumental in establishing operational best practices and instilling a culture of excellence across client service delivery and data management. The Vice President will also proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve business processes and workflow management. Central to success in this role is the ability to deliver impactful, high-quality client service in a highly organized manner, while building strong client relationships to support both retention and portfolio growth. About the Role

In addition, responsibilities will also include

  • Identify and propose ways of improving business processes to assist and manage the workflow;
  • Establish operational best practices and instill a culture of excellence in client service and data management;
  • In conjunction with the Director, create business development plans and lead business development initiatives related to business retention and growth;
  • Develop proposals, presentations, manage the renewal process, conduct market reviews, assist with program installations, wellness programs and drive business development initiatives related to the Health and Employee Benefits portfolio;
  • Receive and manage routine and complex coverage, renewal and claims adjudication queries;
  • Manage pre-renewal/mid-policy term performance discussions and evaluations, and other related tasks which arise including but not limited high quality claims analysis an interpretation;
  • Provide assistance to client’s during installations, escalated claims processes, service issues and manage resolutions;
  • Prepare and oversee insurance documents;
  • Develop and streamline workflow processes;
  • Maintain excellent, in-depth knowledge of health and ancillary benefit products/services and relevant local legislation;
  • Perform due diligence on new and renewal clients and ensure compliance requirements are maintained.
  • Ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

About you As a Vice President, your skills and qualifications will include; •

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Risk Management, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Professional insurance qualifications desirable (ACII, HIA, AHIP, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years experience in insurance broking or advisory roles, with demonstrable experience in group health and employee benefits strongly preferred.
  • Solid broker experience in large group health and employee benefits insurance broking, leading a portfolio.
  • Experience in dealing with C-Suite Clients within the financial, professional services and financial services sectors highly desirable.
  • Strong client relationship management skills are also essential, as well as having solid negotiation skills and demonstrable experience in managing and growing a portfolio of business.
  • Ability to complete market analysis and claims analysis.
  • Local market product knowledge is highly desirable. Regional or UK market experience also preferred.
  • Legal, analytical and policy interpretation ability essential.
  • Demonstrable track record in operational excellence and meeting and exceeding financial targets
