Job Description

Convention Service Manager The Convention Service Manager will be responsible for the pre-planning and coordination of groups in-house, this includes delivering estimated cost of the program prior to group arrival, up-selling, executing banquet event orders, generating group resumes etc. This role requires innovative planning capabilities, and a commitment to delivering memorable experiences. Primary responsibilities for the Convention Service Manager role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Reports to the Director of Events Management.
  • Acts as a liaison between the guests, meeting planners, social events and hotel staff.
  • Coordinate various meetings and local social events to include weddings and holiday parties.
  • Details including meeting room set ups, coffee breaks, food and beverage functions, audiovisual needs, group transportation, wedding ceremonies, billing instructions and other special requirements of the group/event.
  • Organize the function space, develop catering contracts, book post-convention reports, monthly forecasting and more as requested.
  • Generate monthly reports, including but not limited to forecasts and recaps.
  • Oversee in-house group functions, plus review and revise weekly event schedules.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to coordinate needs, packages, and increase profitability.
  • Other duties may be added based on business needs.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in Convention Service/Event Management specifically in Hotel/Resort setting required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management or Hospitality/Tourism Management required.
  • Strong Catering, Sales and Marketing background with proven event planning and execution skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage products, preparation, and presentation.
  • Proven experience leading a team of over Seven staff in a fast-paced environment will be a requirement.
  • Advanced working knowledge of OPERA PMS is strictly required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Mastery of oral and written English communication skills will be essential.
  • Proven ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-oriented under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and multitasking capabilities in a high-volume environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings/nights, weekends and public holidays required.

Pay range: C.I $54,000 - $64,000 per annum Benefits include health insurance, pension & all other benefits as required by Cayman Islands Laws. Deadline to apply is August 27th, 2026
