Drywall Installer and Finisher/Plasterer

As a finisher must have the knowledge on how to apply finish and maintain and restore plaster or similar materials on interior and exterior walls, ceilings and building partitions to produce plain or decorative surfaces.

As a finisher, your duties may include the following

• Applying, levelling and smoothing coats of plaster
• Spraying coats of stucco over the exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
• Cleaning and preparing surfaces
• Mixing plaster ingredients

you must know how to use each tool for each section or area also know how to do Finishing corners and plastic and metal angles and creating decorative designs

• Spraying finish over walls and ceilings

You must know how to install design wallpaper also know how what tools to use

• Measuring, cutting and fitting drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings systems
• Positioning and securing drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs
• Cutting and installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
• Filling joints, holes and cracks with compound using a trowel and broad knife
• Smoothing out excess compound and sanding over dry compound the finish of the compound is very important, level 5 and up is needed, attention to detail is the key.
