Food & Beverage Server

S.E.S. Investments is seeking suitable candidates to join our dynamic team as a Food & Beverage Server. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for managing a section of at least four tables, ensuring timely and attentive service of food and beverages. You will also provide detailed information about ingredients, alcoholic beverages, and wine varieties, confidently answering any questions guests may have. As a representative of our establishment, it is essential that you handle complaints and challenging situations professionally and courteously, always maintaining a calm demeanor. Your goal will be to ensure each guest leaves with an unforgettable dining experience. This position requires flexibility to work split shifts, including Sundays and bank holidays, so availability is key.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently to assigned tables.
• Develop a strong understanding of Italian cuisine and wines to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
• Address and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care.
• Ensure a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.

Experience Required

• 3 to 4 years of professional serving experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years as a professional server is required.
• A hotel management diploma or any level of wine certifications is highly desirable.

Desirable Attributes

• Distinguishing between food allergies and intolerances, knowledge of wine regions in Italy, naming various Italian wines, dishes, and cheeses, and explaining common dietary restrictions.

Education

• Preferred fields: Hospitality or Hotel Management

Compensation

• Salary Range: $6.75 KYD to $12.00 KYD (based on experience and qualifications)+ gratuity.

Weekly salary ranges from CI$700 to CI$1,000 per week based on sales.
