The Team Leader position is responsible for assisting and supporting the Retail Manager in directing and coordinating the activities of the Sales Associates in store.
Key responsibilities and job duties will initially include but not be limited to the following: Ensure store opens and closes on time and operate within legal operating hours Train all store personnel on all relevant operating procedures including alarms, opening/closing procedures, safes, computer and register, bagging, up-selling, etc. Maintain price fixtures in store to remain correct and visible on all shelf and display locations within the store Maintain adequate inventory levels on all products planning for holiday and pay day variances Maintain clean and safe store environment at all times Maintain all store fixtures, reporting any problems to the retail supervisor or office immediately Maintain full and open communication with Retail Supervisor Maintain knowledgeable relationship (learn customer names and preferences) with your customer base Continue to educate yourself and others on the products sold within the store Maintain shelf and store schematics according to company plan Maintain adequate store supplies (receipt paper, float sheets, count sheets, etc.) and change so as not to run out with short notice or no time to replace Maintain constant discussions with other store personnel on any mistake or short comings witnessed in the course of the day, making coaching a regular part of the job Rotate all stock on all products as new inventory arrives in all cases Place store orders by Monday afternoon for Tuesday delivery and fill in as needed for Thursday delivery Up-sell company priority brands at all times when possible Report sales nightly via e-mail informing of days sales in detail Prepare cash for pick up and bank drop off in a timely manner with correct and fully prepared documentation Participate in sales training and management meetings keeping professional “company first” attitude throughout Qualifications A minimum of four (4) years of retail management experience Minimum WSET 2 (Wine and Spirit Education Training Level 2) preferred. At least two (2) years of experience in the beer, wine and spirits industry preferred Excellent communication skills and customer relation skills with a proven customer service training certificate Strong understanding of sales support activities Strong working knowledge of cash register functions and processing payments Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Counterpointe POS systems and Outlook Must enjoy working in a fast paced, target orientated team Benefits in accordance with CI Labor Act Full time position up to 45 hours per week
