Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The Assistant Operations Manager role is pivotal in ensuring smooth functioning of pension operations. Responsibilities encompass managing processes related to pension administration, overseeing employee performance, and tracking targets to ensure efficiency and compliance. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversee the administration of a pension plan, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements Utilize data analytics tools to track and analyze trends in pension processing times, accuracy rates, and customer satisfaction levels Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the pension operations team. Encourage knowledge sharing and cross-training to enhance team members' skills and capabilities Directs preparation and filing of plan reports issued to the plan regulators Ensure that all service level agreements and performance standards are achieved Be a senior point of reference on technical issues and non-standard cases Supervise, train, support and mentor junior administrators Develop administrative team including setting/tracking goals in HR Management Software and Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess employee productivity and adherence to operational standards Encourage positive work ethic and team collaboration Assist with educational training sessions for existing employers and members Continuously seek to identify areas where the service to employers and members could be improved and communicate findings to COO Support the external Audit Process Performs ad hoc general administrative duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree At least 4+ years relevant work experience within the pension or finance industry At least 4+ Experience managing a team/direct reporting employees Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel
