Power Services Cayman Limited is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Supervisor to lead Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Line Operations and Vegetation Management activities in George Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising field crews, ensuring safe and efficient execution of line construction, maintenance, and vegetation control work, and maintaining full compliance with industry safety standards and regulations.
Supervise construction, maintenance, and repair of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) electrical lines Lead and manage line crews, contractors, and vegetation teams Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with electrical safety standards and procedures Coordinate vegetation management activities including line clearance and right-of-way maintenance Oversee vegetation crews working near or around energized lines Implement and enforce safe work methods, PPE usage, and high-voltage safety procedures Coordinate vegetation works with line operations to ensure system reliability Conduct site inspections and monitor work progress and quality standards Maintain accurate operational and safety documentation and reports Support emergency response and restoration activities during outages or storm events
Certificate in Electrical Engineering required Journeyman Lineman Certification or equivalent required Must be certified in Live Line Work (Hot Stick & Rubber Glove), Aerial Device Operation, Grounding & Bonding, and High Voltage Safety Minimum 10 years’ experience in Transmission & Distribution line construction and maintenance Proven experience supervising line crews and contractors Strong background in implementing safe work procedures and electrical system operations Mandatory experience in Vegetation Management, including line clearance and right-of-way maintenance Experience supervising vegetation crews working near energized lines Strong knowledge of safety regulations, PPE requirements, and compliance standards Demonstrated leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations Preference will be given to Caymanians and Permanent Resident Holders (P.R. & RERC Holders).
