Barista / Server

The Brew Hut LTD. are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and experienced Barista / Server to join our team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role requires early morning availability, strong customer service skills, and a solid foundation in coffee preparation. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting strict operational and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, and food items in accordance with company standards
• Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Operate POS systems (experience with Aloha preferred) for order processing and cash handling
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including front-of-house and back-of-house areas
• Assist with stock replenishment
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Work efficiently during high-volume service periods, including early morning shifts
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Must be available to work 6 days per week
• Must be able to start shifts as early as 4:30 AM
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts is required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
• Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a barista/server OR formal barista training
• Demonstrated knowledge of coffee preparation, extraction techniques, and equipment handling
• Must provide proof of coffee knowledge (certificate, training credentials, or equivalent)
• Experience using Aloha POS system is highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compliance & Security Requirements

• Must provide a clear police record / background check
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain an airport security badge, including successful completion of annual security training
• Must have sufficient documentation and qualifications to pass all required airport authority clearances
• Be able to provide references from last 2 jobs

Compensation

• CI$8.00 – CI$10.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Approved Gratuity Scheme in place
• Plus standard health and pension contributions
