Specialized Drywall Finisher

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and highly skilled Specialized Drywall Finisher to support a specific short term project expected to last several months. This role is focused on high end drywall finishing, requiring precision, craftsmanship, and exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering smooth, flawless surfaces and is able to meet exacting quality standards and unique client specifications. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive hands on experience in drywall finishing or related finish carpentry disciplines.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand project requirements
• Measure, calculate, and estimate materials accurately for assigned tasks
• Perform expert drywall finishing techniques, including taping, mudding, sanding, patching, and texturing
• Achieve clean, seamless drywall surfaces ready for painting or final finishes
• Deliver Level 4 and Level 5 drywall finish standards where required
• Work on residential, commercial, and high end renovation projects
• Coordinate and work cooperatively with other trades on site to meet project timelines and quality expectations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with site and safety requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven hands on experience as a Drywall Finisher (minimum 3 years preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve Level 4 and Level 5 drywall finishes
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high quality workmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Competent in reading construction drawings and basic technical documentation
• Good command of English and basic math skills
• Physically fit, with the stamina required for demanding construction work
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and willingness to follow all safety protocols
• Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or related trade training is an asset
• Flexibility to work varied weekday hours as required by the project
• Must provide a clean police clearance and maintain a drug free status
